DETAILS

Reduce drivetrain shudder under hard acceleration by installing a PERRIN Pitch Stop mount. The factory pitch stop mount is designed to control the pitching of the engine and transmission under light to normal acceleration. Subaru's with power and drivetrain upgrades will need PERRIN's more aggressive option.

Under hard acceleration, the drivetrain is being twisted front to back from the front axle torque twist. To control this front-to-back twisting, Subaru created a pitch stop mount. The factory pitch stop is made of plastic with soft rubber bushings, allowing for a significant amount of movement under hard driving conditions, creating drivetrain slop & shudder.

The PERRIN Pitch Stop mount controls the movement of the drivetrain in both on and off throttle driving giving the driver a more positive feel and literally putting more power to the wheels by eliminating lost energy.

  • 6061 Billet Aluminum construction
  • 90a / 70a Durometer bushings
  • Annodized Finish

The bushings are as stiff as possible without introducing excessive NVH. (noise vibration harshness)

Easy Install, Noticeable Difference

It is a little difficult to reach the back of the engine bay to remove and reinstall, but it is still super easy once you get in the right position. I noticed an immediate difference in responsiveness and the over ride of the car just feels smoother and more solid. I do notice more NVH in the cabin, but I kind of like it because I can hear how the engine is running.

More rumble

The perrin pitch stop mount is 100 X better than the stock pitch stop. What a difference! I notice less bouncing while driving slow in first gear, smoother shifts, and it looks way cooler. The ride still feels smooth but the car has a little more rumble to it.

Noticed right away!

My acceleration is sooo much smoother on the shift, ratcheting has stopped. The product is night and day from the OEM. Good Buy!

Much Better than Stock

This part definitely made it easier to take off in first gear and made shifting to second a lot smoother. Eliminates most of that ragdoll effect, but it does add a little engine whine into the cabin, which can be annoying in between 2k and 4k rpm. It is worth the trade off to me though.
