Motul 8100 5W-30 X-clean EFE Motor Oil 5L Bottle

So at first maybe I thought it was just the wrong oil for my car. I have noticed that temperatures have increased just a little bit over where than they were with the previous oil I was just running which is so odd to me… I also found out I’m not the only one that had that experience. I noticed my thermostat kicking open a lot more now than it did right before the oil change correlating with that temp increase. i’m not sure if that’s a good thing that temperatures are increased. I would think that would mean more friction but… we will see. Unfortunately It doesn’t seem any quieter with this oil but then again it’s a full synthetic and I wouldn’t think it’s supposed to quiet anything down. As far as noise is concerned… my motor has 220,000 + miles on it so we’ll see. Maybe I should switch to 5w40… I’m probably cooked, but I think it’s strange that the motor is running a little hotter right after the oil change when the weather was even cooler at that point on the drive home from my workspace. Only time will tell but so far my motor seems to be happy and consuming/leaking far less oil than I’ve seen with other brands. I’m truly looking for the perfect oil. I’ve had great success with their gear oil in the past for extra smooth shifts.
I will continue to monitor the situation…

Motul's great stuff. Running this in my FRS during summers in AZ.

23 WRX here, car seems much happier with motul 5w30. Def recommend if you’re tuned.
