2024 Wilderness

Bought this on a whim, and have had it for just over a year now and it sounds great still. Just enough of a noise difference to know its there but not obnoxious in any way! Also can confirm from an Email by HKS it does fit the 2.5 in the 2024 model year.

Great sound not too loud, but drones in the cabin

There are virtually NO performance mods for my 2024 Forester. I opted for this muffler, a Nameless intake and an AEM replacement air filter. I picked the HKS based on Youtube sound clips, including Borla and the Nameless dual chamber one. HKS sounded the best and quietest from outside the car. It took the computer a day or so to adjust; there is a modest but noticeable improvement in power with the new parts. The muffler is not too loud, and construction and fit are excellent. In fact the HKS-supplied muffler gasket is round and fits better than the Subaru part, which is oval and does not seal as well. Downside, there is a near constant drone in the cabin off idle and under any load. It is very deep, not very loud or unpleasant and I have decided to live with it. Sounds like my old 2004 STi
