Could've been a better experience

Bought these pretty excited to put them on my 2021 Crosstrek.

Shipping time was relatively fast, and they came in about a week.

It's my own fault for not picking up on it, but first off these are caps. I thought they were going to be direct replacements for the mirror shell, and even though the first review said they don't come off in the car wash, I'm still hesitant to trust that some 3M Automotive tape is going to hold them on.

There were no directions in the box or on the website (just looking for how to properly prep everything to get the best adhesion, but nothing in the box besides a Compressive Tuning sticker).

Took them out to the car, only to find that I was sent the wrong caps. Ordered Forged w/ Cut Out for the Crosstrek (double checked as writing this) and was send the Forester ones. Don't think this is a SubiMods fault because the items were coming directly from Compressive Tuning, but just kind of sucked to deal with it.

The forged look looked nice, but on top of my own reservations about caps and adhesion, this left a sour taste in my mouth.
