This prevents the cam sprockets from spinning, and it eliminates potential valve damage. With this tool, it allows the timing belt job to be done by a single person by locking those left-hand cams in place.

Includes hardware to make this tool ready for the repair.

Worth having

Like always, company 23 tools are worth to have on hand. Works as described to hold the cams in place or even help with the slight adjustments needed if your motor ended up off by a little. I bought for both sides which is not really needed but I just wanted everything to mirror in the easiest way possible.

Cam lock out

If you work on your own vehicle,I highly recommend this cam lock out tool from company 23. Must have for you tool chest! I bought 2 but only one is really needed

Get Two

This locks the cams in place. I recommend two when changing a timing belt to hold both sets of cams. Well made. Won't strip like the cheap ones.
