DETAILS

Mishimoto has developed a performance air intake engineered specifically for the 2022+ Subaru WRX. The intake features numerous innovative components, including a wire-reinforced lower induction hose that will not collapse under suction and boost. This intake has a unique and aggressive tone under acceleration and boost, and the free-flowing design amplifies turbocharger spool and BPV sounds.

The stock intake duct is utilized to provide cool airflow to the high-flow Mishimoto oiled air filter, which features increased filtration surface area compared to the stock paper filter. This filter can be cleaned and reused, providing a lifetime of service. The intake comes with an enclosed airbox for protection against engine bay heat-soak, and it provides a stock-like engine bay appearance as well. This unit is a complete bolt-on that functions perfectly with the stock tune and can be installed in one hour using common hand tools. 
Can we be 100 certain this will not require a tune outside of the stock tune i remember the same thing being said about other intakes then companies had to course correct?

Great Sound, Better Throttle Response

I am running this on a '24 WRX GT (CVT). Super easy install, and a pretty noticeable difference immediately. Makes the car sound the way it should sound at least under the hood, and I felt a decent drop in hesitation on the throttle. I also gained a little over .5 PSI of boost which I found interesting considering I am running this without a tune at the moment; I am excited to see what difference this will make when paired with a tune and new exhaust!

Best Intake!

This is absolutely the best intake. It makes the turbo scream at full boost and gives you the sought after pshhh noises. Install wasn’t too terribly difficult. I did have to take the skid plate off. Also, some of the screws won’t line up so you will have to adjust and position accordingly. I recommend watching the Mishimoto video. One thing I did differently from their video is I put the filter on before I put the heat shield box around it. That made it line up a little easier.

Combined with the MBRP Catback exhaust my car came with and the Cobb Accessport with a 93 OTS tune, this makes my 22 rip. The whosh is super satisfying. You hear it whistle around 4000+ and then what you would imagine it feels like to bust open like a can of Coke when you let off. At around 15-20 psi, it's loud and proud, and made my face hurt from smiling too much.

Things to note. Expect some clip breakage. Get yourself a set of replacement clips for the skid plates and shielding to be safe. Your intake hose will be a bit annoying to get off, so you will pretty much have to crawl under the car to get to it. I recommend positioning the hose clamps to where you can get away with not taking all the panels off. The clear top's **** holes may be slightly unaligned with the machined holes, and you may have to play with them to get them screwed down all the way, but after ripping the car in around 100 degree heat, making all the power it is at the moment, they are holding strong, nothing loose, and should last you as long as you have the car.
