Make Things Happen

Today's world is filled with influencers. No matter where you look somebody is speaking about or promoting something on social media that was sparked and ignited by their true passions. Unfortunately, sometimes when we find ourselves scanning the virtual room filled with influential individuals it can expose an underlying motive of negativity, insecurity, or hate based on an unsatisfying life or past history. When you discover an individual who, from their very beginnings, seems to have an amazing talent for turning life's challenges into positives, simply, using a strong platform to turn “lemons into lemonade", you are naturally pulled into their orbit and prompted to take notice. Most often these individuals are not the type to sit back and wait for joy, success, and fulfillment to step up and knock on their door. If you dig back in the stories of many who have become major influencers or inspiring mentors, in any genre, you'll find a lot of hard work and sweat attached to that desire to succeed. There was not always joy in their journey, but they knew how to flip the bad to good just by fighting for what they love. It's easy to see that hard work is a main ingredient in building character. That strong character leads to self motivation which helps to overcome hardships, failures but also is the primary tool to achieve goals. Also, these individuals may have received or been given helpful advice regarding determination, persistence, and hard work. They often are inspired by the achievements and work ethic of the mentors before them. We realize how important inspiration, expression, and creativity are in the Subaru community. It can be life changing to read about the hard work of other enthusiasts to maintain a course of discipline and motivation as you aim to achieve the goals and even gain the lifestyle you desire. It's always gratifying to discover something passionately colorful and share it for inspiration.

Being Genuine and Relatable

Subaru enthusiasts from around the world gain the majority of their inspiration from the examples set forth by others in the community. There is literally a sea of information disseminated by videos, podcasts, articles, and promotions exhibited or hosted by well-known or not so well known presenters. This information comes through at all levels of quality and actual educational interest, but no matter what you are searching for, there is someone out there that discovered that passing their experiences forward is the best way to perpetuate a movement and truly lift up a community of like minded people who want to bring their dreams to reality. An individual that now lives her life within our community somewhere between recognizable and immediately known is Rachelle Wolf, a California native who has literally shared her learning, inspiration, and experiences regarding her cherished Subaru vehicles with a vast audience of hungry enthusiasts through a number of online platforms. Her YouTube channel, "Rachelle Wolf (Blossom STI)", described as "Just a girl and her Subies", began a few years back as a platform to share the joys and feelings behind the connection between cars and human beings. Her genuine and relatable style, her willingness to inspire and educate without an enormous ego or pretentious attitude, and her energy showing how rewarding car modification can be for the true creative, is the power and underlying influence all owners should work to achieve. Like many enthusiasts we meet in our travels, she was bitten with a spirit that morphed into an exciting drive for achievement as anyone can see unfold throughout a number of her first videos. From the first time her 2018 Subaru STI was proudly strapped on the DYNO rollers at Delicious Tuning in Vista, CA, to step-by step cosmetic upgrades through her full body Cherry Blossom livery decal application, to modifications, track days, and installation instructions, her genuine and relatable presence builds infectious interest and encouragement in the heart of a novice or expert.

Blame it on Sweden

Rachelle is no stranger to this journey of bringing creative dreams and desires to the surface through work and ambition. Like many of us, her passion started from a point of influence which now could look as far removed from the current result. "My passion for cars began in 2012 when I purchased a Saab 9-5 (nine five)", Wolf said. Like other enthusiasts, the first purchase, not always a Subaru, can be the first bite of inspiration, which always leads the passionate creative driver to explore, appreciate, and dive head first into this wonderful world that drives the spirit of our growing community. The acquisition of that Swedish built icon obviously was the launching pad for her future. Laying out her next steps she confirmed by adding, "My 2004 STI was purchased in August of 2019 from San Diego Auto Club, then my 2018 STI was purchased in June 2020 from BMW of Vista." Stepping up from the mold that has created so many true enthusiasts, Wolf exclaims with pride, "Between my husband and I, we have 5 Subaru's." Going back to those first years of inspiration, Rachelle remembers fondly when she dove fully into the Subaru pool. "My first performance car was my 2018 Subaru WRX CVT that I bought in July of 2017. This was my first Subaru!", she confirmed and said joyfully. "I did minimal mods to it. Wheels, exhaust, intake, suspension and then wrapped it myself." To anyone who has spent a serious amount of time around our community, attended events, or had a meaningful conversation with an enthusiast of the brand, it is evident that swimming in this water was the comfort she was seeking. Closing in on a decade of passion for her Subaru platforms has solidified her position in the community not as a passing admirer or subtle fan of her daily drive, but as a true blue advocate of both lifestyle, creative uniqueness, and the desire to express joy through your vehicle. A badge worn well by a young and inspiring woman. "On a scale of 1-10 I'd rate myself a strong 10 as a Subaru Enthusiast.", Wolf said proudly.

Pulling Into Traffic

Now that Wolf stomped on the pedal and had become immersed in everything Subaru, she began to crave the taste of the rewards, experiences, and challenges behind modifier's ownership. Choosing a specific platform is always riddled with an onslaught of inexperienced reasonings, especially if you are motivated by your heart instead of your head. Rachelle wanted a bit more than a trophy piece to drive around the highways and byways of the West Coast. Again, discovering her pure excitement and determination through those early You Tube videos unleashes an understanding of a female enthusiast who wants to translate beyond simple ownership of a head-turner. Evolving into the fully faceted enthusiast willing to absorb, evangelize, educate, and become both driver and advocate seems to be the course she is following whole heartedly. Pulling up her bootstraps and jumping in for the long haul seems to be the mantra that propels her purpose. "I knew to progress in the industry I needed and wanted to learn to drive stick and had to upgrade to the STI.", she said. "I wanted a better transmission, bigger brakes, more HP and of course that beautiful EJ rumble. I bought my 2018 STI on a Friday afternoon and had to drive to work in rush hour traffic that coming Monday. That made me learn quickly!" Slapping on the modifier's badge is not an easy step for anyone, but once that foot leaves the ground, there is no turning back. Wolf's videos that both document her cosmetic upgrades and component installations are both relatable and encouraging since we have all opened a box and wondered if this choice will result in victory or failure. Again, Wolf's strength as an influencer and now known presence in the California mod community, comes through her wanting to learn, perform, and learn more. The life of an enthusiast that involves reaching into every cave, every question, and every problem to see what gold can be pulled out the experience, is one that requires taking paths that are not always easy and glamorous.

The Houses That Wolf Built

Sometimes it takes a village to care for one child, especially if the child has a promising future residing in the mind of a proud parent. The modification journey can prove not to be the straightest, and smoothest path. "I did most of the cosmetics," Wolf said, "outside of the wide body kit, air suspension install and custom trunk setup." The exterior enhancements, especially on Blossom, as seen in her videos, were another benefit born from this obvious family of talent. "My husband and I also wrap our own cars.", something clearly demonstrated in her early videos. "I used to take my cars to SD Auto Club in San Diego for Engine mods," Wolf explained, "but recently started a partnership with Evol Auto Works who now does the customizations." Continually uplifting her support team, she quickly proclaimed, "They can do it all!" As we all know, no modification journey progresses without obstacles or issues. From time to time, you are going to hit a few pot holes. "I'd say the only problem I ever ran into was when my husband and I lined up next to each other while I was in my 2018 and he was in the Blobeye.", Wolf remembers. "We did a pull and the Blobeye got Rod Knock!", she exclaimed regretfully. "We discovered the Blobeye had oil consumption issues so we had to rebuild the motor." As expected, Wolf quickly flipped the script and turned a show stopping negative into a positive memory of education. "This was a great learning experience." she added. Her goals were never clouded by doubt, distraction, or any spirit that would drag her away from the work that had to be done then, or the expectations of the future. "Originally my 2018 was going to be a track car,", Wolf explained, "then I went to the wide body, bagged 3 piece wheels route and it turned into a show car that I also like to drive on weekends.", she said. "The Blobeye is set up to be a track car. Just needs some more work and then I plan to take it out to the track!", she predicted with excitement.

Learning to Impact and Inspire

To the average person on the street that may not have a good understanding of automotive mechanics or the technologies involved in performance tuning, the questions asking what was modified or how it was accomplished will be extremely loaded. The economy, circumstances that come with living life, and the unpredictability of the automotive market can also be worrisome, but for a young, strong-souled, California woman like Wolf, the obstacles between her and reaching her goals are only impossible if she chooses not to continue jumping higher to dunk the ball. Her entrepreneurial spirit and consistent effort to reach people don’t seem to be fading quickly. “With my cars being well known in the Subaru Community it's a great time to meet people that are excited to see the cars in person and just hang with all the fellow Subaru enthusiasts!”, she said with pride. Her love for the brand, her true connection to her cars, and her impact as a young influencer in the industry comes through loud and clear when she speaks of her current car-cultured life. "I plan to never sell Blossom and the Blobeye," she said with conviction. "They will be in my car fleet forever! I absolutely love being a part of the Subaru community.", she confirmed. "I had the opportunity to work with Subaru directly on marketing the new WRX TR before it came out. They flew me out to Thunderhill Raceway where I got to hit the track with Scott Speed in the new TR.", she said proudly. "Probably the most fun I have ever had in a Subaru!" Her engagement through events and meetings with those other enthusiasts who are on the same path and feel the same inspirations are an obvious and continuous goal for Wolf and her family. Always looking forward to events, Wolf said, “I never miss SubieFest SoCal. It is one of my favorite shows every year." Behind the wheel of a stunning piece of art and impressive chariot of performance, Wolf rolls amongst us keeping an eye on her past and a finger on the pulse of the future.

Speeding Into a Positive Future

Overall, our experience now teaches us that Wolf's stance as an example and influencer is strong in this community. This is a sturdy house she has been building for close to a decade. "In 2018 I modeled car shirts for Tuned in Tokyo.", Wolf explained. "They helped me get my first 10k followers on Instagram. I just kept making content, building my car and working with different brands.", she added. "When I got my 2018 STI, my page started to blow up, and I started to get sponsors. And now, here we are!" Again, as we have emphasized, it is all about the work and the desire to make an impact to push your purpose. Wolf understands the workings of modern machinery and how it can be used to spread and share what is great about being an enthusiast, a unique creative, and how to build something that not only benefits everyone you touch, but also enhances time well spent. "Social media has brought me opportunities to work with brands like Arizona Iced Tea7-11, Subaru, Skechers and more.", Wolf says with pride. "In 2020 I wrapped my 2018 STI a pistachio green color, added the cherry blossoms for Subaru, because they use cherry blossom pink, and then people started to tag Arizona Iced Tea on Instagram.", she explained. "I then realized I turned my car into an Arizona Green Tea can! The brand reached out to me and I started working with them on promoting their merch and new flavors coming out.", she confirmed. "I noticed a lot of people do the Green Tea, so I wanted to do something more unique that hadn't been done before.", she noted. "I decided to wrap it like the Arizona Georgia Peach." In June of 2025 Arizona approached Wolf with a new idea that punctuated how her impact, inspiration, and influence was cultivated by her love for the brand and infectious attitude. "Arizona asked me if I could wrap a car like their new flavor coming out, the Whipped Pineapple Orange," she exclaimed with gratitude. "I said let's do it on the Blobeye! It turned out amazing." As the clock ticks through the days of this year, there is no doubt that the Wolf team will keep progressing, modifying, promoting the Subaru brand and its community of enthusiasts without thinking about anything other than the happiness this brings to those in their immediate orbit or the energy that surrounds them. American author Robert Collier once was quoted to say, "Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out." We can confirm that the life and efforts of Rachelle Wolf, as an enthusiast, influencer, and inspiring person can be defined as success. A life with purpose, well-lived, for all the world to see.
